With the expert help of landscape designer Tobbie Loup de Viane , the gardens of Chateau Val joanis were created , providing selfsufficiency in fruit and vegetables as in the XVIIIth century.
Three terraces were carved out , protected from the mistral wind and mixing lavender and roses, irises and other Mediterranean species. It has been labeled “ Jardin Remarquable ” since 2005 and rewarded as ‘garden of the year” in 2008. It welcomes hundreds of visitors every year.

The shop and gardens are open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.Château Val Joanis celebrates Spring on Sunday April 28, 2024 from 10 am to 6pm !

The Château Val Joanis team
Nestled at the foot of the « Grand Luberon », 15mn drive from north of Aix en Provence, Chateau Val Joanis is the ideal setting to celebrate your wedding.
You may organize a romantic ceremony under our charming gazebo or invite your friends at a cocktail in our gardens.
You will organize your reception in “the Barrels Room” opening on our ageing cellar with up to 160 people. Next to this room, you will find a small room for the children. A second communicating room may be rented, allowing you to receive up to 300 guests. Outside, during warm summer nights, you will dine under the 200 years old plane trees and have a brunch the next morning.
We propose a rural gite for the bride and groom family (10 p.) or a splendid provence mansion for 12 people.
Nestled at the foot of the « Grand Luberon », 15mn drive from north of Aix en Provence and 45 mn from Marseille, Chateau Val Joanis allows you to organize an ideal working day for your company, as well as refined gala dinners. Having a coffee break and strolling in our gardens will be a special relaxing moment.
